Hi,
I'm Chris Hardie - a twenty-something thirty-something male living and working
in Richmond, Indiana. I'm
of Scottish descent, from the Clan
Farquharson.
In 1997, I founded a website development company called Summersault, with a friend of mine, Mark Stosberg. That venture has been successful, and it has continued to be my passion and primary method of financial support over these years. We're a small operation that does big things, focused on excellent personal service and fostering long-term relationships with our clients. Our mission is to "build and sustain communities using the technologies of the Internet," which is tied to my own personal aspirations.
My key professional strengths include:
- Entrepreneurial; always building, creating, orchestrating and innovating
- Experienced team leader and problem solver
- Excellent customer service vision and values
- Highly effective communicator
- 15+ years experience with web application development tools and related technologies
You can read more about my specific areas of expertise and professional experience on my resume.
I have many hobbies and interests, including: magic, juggling, flying, community building, computing, reading, writing, public speaking, sustainability of the human species, audio and video production, sociology/anthropology, and ultimate frisbee, among others. I'm a very technical person, always striving to figure out how things work and how patterns fall into place. I tend to take on leadership roles. I enjoy chaos at work as much as I enjoy complex and predictable systems. I like people watching.
See some of the projects and organizations with which I'm affiliated.
There are numerous ways to contact me if you'd like more information.

My grandfather, Rev. Andrew Hardie, was born in Edinburgh, 18 September 1841, and came to Australia in 1872. I have been unable to trace 2 of his sons, Ken and Hugh. Any ideas?

Hi,
I am the other Chris Hardie. I live in New Orleans. I saw you were interested in the family tree. If you have not found it already, http://www.thornhill.org/ is the web site of the organization dedicated to the research of the Hardie Family tree.
On another note, I see you are an open source proponent. I find that ironic since I am a Windows Network Engineer. I think it is funny that the only two Chris Hardie's I can find are a Unix guy and a Windows guy.
Take Care,
Chris Hardie
