A rolling list of updates/additions made to my site:
- April 25, 2003 - refined and relaunched my Computer Security Audit Checklist, which had gone away for a bit.
- March 8, 2003 - launch of restructured, cleaned website. Most pages are now XML using CSS, but there are a few stragglers.
In March of 2003, I did a major restructuring and cleaning of my site. A lot of the stuff below may be missing or relocated, but I'm leaving it up anyway, if only as a testimony to the amount of time I've put into this site.
- April 28, 2002 - posted a new writing about the value of life
- August 4, 2001 - updated my current projects and homepage
- June 27, 2001 - created a page describing Internet Connection options in Wayne County, Indiana
- May 4, 2001 - updated my scrapbook to mention recent fame in a book and a magazine.
- April 27, 2001 - posted some thoughts on the Napster situation
- December 2, 2000 - posted some thoughts about how electronic voting could have prevented the current election fiasco
- September 19, 2000 - added a section of reflections, dunno how long it'll last :)
- September 17, 2000 - reformatted and updated my paper "The Internet as a Social Phenomenon" (the old version didn't have footnotes and was presented poorly); created an index page of my writings ; added two new PhotoCDs: one from the beach, another with lots of airborne entities.
- August 5, 2000 - introduced my meager page of qmail stuff
- July 24, 2000 - added a new PhotoCD
- June 22, 2000 - added two new PhotoCDs, mostly with pictures from Damon and Megan's wedding. Also created my new scrapbook.
- June 18, 2000 - after releasing a public version of my website comment software, I created a list of public domain software that I maintain, which has been at work on this site now for almost exactly a year.
- May 23, 2000 - added two new creations, Storm and Let's Go Play, as well as a journal that I kept during a Dance Class.
- April 3, 2000 - added a new PhotoCD; wrote and posted my Qmail Anti-Spam HOWTO
- March 25, 2000 - added the übergeek version of my resume
- February 27, 2000 - added a page outlining my availability to speak to your group, organization, or company about issues of technology and/or social justice.
- February 21, 2000 - updated my "looking for you" page to reflect all the people I've found (or who have found me); posted some thoughts on running your own business - I'm not sure I like these, so they may go away soon
- January 18, 2000 - added a new PhotoCD
- January 6, 2000 - added a page of my favorite photos and some reflections on Y2K
- December 28, 1999 - added a full-blown search engine to my site; have a blast
- December 10, 1999 - added a new writing, "Wet Contrast"
- December 1, 1999 - added a handy page comparing savings account rates here in Richmond
- November 10, 1999 - updated my current projects page, put some graphics on my page about Earlham, added a new creation, Absolut Wafta.
- October 14, 1999 - added three new PhotoCDs to my photos page from my travels in Europe in Spring 1998!
- September 30, 1999 - added a new PhotoCD
- September 28, 1999 - my website won WayNet's "Best Web Site Award" for personal websites
- September 16, 1999 - updated the best of the webcam, my Web/DB Portfolio, and the Ishmael Resource; unfortunately had to add a comment posting policy.
- September 5, 1999 - made public the beginnings of my Ishmael Resource
- September 3, 1999 - added a new PhotoCD, with lots of pics from my recent trip to Seattle.
- September 2, 1999 - added a list of people I'm looking for (just go see)
- August 24, 1999 - wrote and posted "Finding a Straighter Edge: Thoughts on Drugs and Alcohol"; updated my Change index page to get more serious about this change business.
- August 20, 1999 - added page of all user comments on my site
- August 17, 1999 - added a new PhotoCD
- August 5, 1999 - created a news archive, listed out some of my current personal and professional proejcts, updated the best of the webcam pages
- July 27, 1999 - updated my journal from Scotland, added a new PhotoCD and a short story
- July 20, 1999 - updated front page content, added a new PhotoCD and a new painting
- July 6, 1999 - tried to explain why this site exists; added a Y2K compliancy statement
- July 1, 1999 - added copyright notice
- June 26, 1999 - added database-driven "user comments" sections to many pages
- June 26, 1999 - started best of the webcam page
- June 25, 1999 - started my creations section containing paintings, artwork, etc.
- June 14, 1999 - added page on my letters printed in Newsweek
- May 31, 1999 - added guestbook - no one has used it yet, will you be the first?
- May 20, 1999 - launched Chris for President section (whoop-dee-doo, I know)
- May 13, 1999 - added photos from graduation from Earlham, added writing "10 Minutes"
- May 11, 1999 - added photo scheme, updated pages to include photos
- May 4, 1999 - added an updated resume and web/db portfolio in hopes that the folks at Arsdigita would invite me to their bootcamp. Later received a big "no thank you."
- April 2, 1999 - updated The Haggis Journal to work with new website scheme
- April 1, 1999 - Completely redesigned my website from scratch. It admittedly looks very similar to Philip Greenspun's, but I make no apologies for re-using ideas that work well.
