On Public Journaling

It's hard to understand how far to take the ideal of being open and honest
to all that return the favor. One might assume that all visiting your
journal site will have a genuine interest in what you say, but this is not
always true. I wish .htaccess could filter that out, and I wish that
everyone's browser sent a cookie to every page they visited telling me
their life story.

Our stories and our experiences are what make us our own person, and they
are therefore to be enjoyed and shared with those we cared about, but at
the same time respected and protected from those that would use them
against us or for more selfish reasons like miscellaneous liesure reading.
